This size is common on vehicles such as the VW Golf, Audi Q3 or the BMW 1 Series, and many others. The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 also delivered strong performances, with Michelin earning extra praise for its wear and environmental efficiency, which is something Michelin aims for in the last years. Additionally, brands like Vredestein, Yokohama, Firestone, Falken, and Nexen secured \u201cgood\u201d ratings. These models not only delivered commendable performance but also came with a more attractive price tag compared to their premium counterparts, which make them an interesting options to consider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Longevity_vs_Grip_Trade-Off\"><\/span>Longevity vs. Grip Trade-Off<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An intriguing aspect of the test was the balance between durability and traction, which we also like to emphasize. A good example is the Doublecoin DC100, which clocked an impressive 74,400 kilometers in wear tests. That it wasn\u2019t magic became evident in the grip and handling tests, which proved that its longevity was simply due to a very hard rubber compound. While this reduces abrasion, it compromises grip and handling\u2014especially on wet surfaces. This example underscores that a longer tread life doesn\u2019t necessarily mean better overall safety or performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Weakest_Link_Factor\"><\/span>The Weakest Link Factor<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ADAC\u2019s comprehensive scoring system ensures that no single deficiency is ignored. Even if a tire excels in several areas, a notably poor performance in a critical category\u2014such as braking or handling\u2014can drag down its overall rating.
